Just over five months ago I came home from my study abroad in Israel. Now I am busy submitting my application to make aliyah, to become an Israeli citizen. It's a big change, that's for sure! I'm really excited/nervous/happy/scared/curious about what will come. If everything works out right, my application will be accepted and come this September I will be on my way to Israel as an olah hadasha (new immigrant). Whew.
Wow, good luck. Is there a talent portion of the competition? If so, you'd rock it. But seriously, whatever happens with the application is meant to be. We'll miss you and will have to come visit!
ReplyDeleteHi Natalie - I haven't checked your blog in a while since you've been in the US but I guess you will keep on having "Holy Land" news now that you are in the citizen application process. I know you will be accepted.
ReplyDeleteDoes Israel have a family reunification act like Australia and New Zealand? You know - once one person in the family is a citizen the rest of us poor slobs can ride on their coat-tails and move too so we can be a reunited family.
Love you.
